Hommel Optic Line and Hommel Konturograph

Our Hommel Optic Line system allows for optical measuring of turned parts with a length of up to 300 mm, using a laser. It uses image processing, just like the Keyence measuring program. The accuracy of the system is 3 mµ.
The Hommel Konturograph can measure inside and outside contours by using stylus measures.

Vester 100% control

We have two Vester video-measuring systems that evaluate turned parts with cameras. The essential measuring points have to be defined in advance. This facilitates efficient controlling and sorting by dimensional stability of the parts.

Final inspection

We also offer on request 100% manual (visual) inspection to achieve ultimate accuracy. Anything that a camera cannot detect, e.g. a cross-bore or ease of movement of a thread, is manually inspected.

Quality control

Each machine is equipped with a computer-based quality control system (SPC, Statistical Process Control). We have also installed a roughness tester on each machine.
Extensive quality assurance measures such as optical measuring systems, sorting machines, material analyses, material batch control, hardness testing, etc. have been introduced throughout the entire production process. Our specially developed organisational software even makes it possible to activate a firewall that ensures that only parts that have passed the final inspection can leave our plant.

Organisational software

Special software was developed to make our corporate processes more efficient. It is extremely easy to operate, using buttons. Staff members log in by fingerprint (at the attendance recorder), can then view their tasks and confirm the completion of these tasks with their fingerprint. The program offers options for orders, improvement suggestions, holiday planning, loans, document administration, procedural instructions and complaints management. This facilitates effective instruction of staff members and also provides them with more controlled freedom of action.

Material analysis

Our staff members perform and document an X-ray-based material analysis (RFA) before each start of production or during each change of material. This system is also an in-house development: the procedure is IT-supported, so that each staff member can perform the analysis by using only three buttons.

Keyence measuring program

Keyence is an optical measuring program for production support that can measure turned parts up to ø 40 mm at more than 100 points, using a laser. Even component angles can be measured that way. All measurements are numerically and graphically displayed. Coupling between the measuring system and our machines is a unique feature. It shows where, when and to what dimensions parts where produced.
